As the brand points out in its press release, these new models "pay homage to Omega's history with their snailed dial design dear to the chronographs of the 1940s and their sage leaf hands, as well as the elegant "spiral" circuit pattern. which runs along the Arabic numerals.

The sapphire crystal caseback reveals the hand-wound Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer caliber 9908, with column wheel, and a beautiful finish. We notice, and this is a first for the brand, the Côtes de Genève in arabesque which originate at the level of the balance wheel and not in the center of the movement.

 

To optimize the power reserve, Omega has incorporated a double barrel coated with a DLC coating which protects it from wear. Finally, it should be noted that this caliber is certified “Master Chronometer”; as such, it has successfully passed the tests established by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).

In all, six models are offered in satin-polished steel. Among them, two models with silver dial and blued hands; two models with blue dial and rhodium-plated hands and two models with silver dial, black counters and blackened hands – the famous

“Panda” dial.

 

All dials feature Arabic numerals paired with blue or black anodized aluminum bezels (surprising Omega didn't go with ceramic, especially at this price point).

 

This new collection is offered on blue, brown or black leather straps with micro-perforations revealing a red rubber insert. They are decorated with the symbol Ω in relief. Also available on a satin-polished steel bracelet fitted with Omega's patented two-position comfort adjustment system.

Finally, note that there is a version in Bronze Gold (13,900 euros), an exclusive material manufactured by Omega. It is in fact a unique alloy which in addition to bronze is enriched with 37.5% gold, palladium and silver. It offers superb light pink reflections and unparalleled resistance to corrosion.

 

It is associated with an oxidized bronze dial with a unique patina, with counters in a silvery opaline tone. A polished brown ceramic bezel (vs. aluminum on the steel versions) features a vintage enamel tachymeter scale, another great first for Omega. The sage leaf type hands and Arabic numerals are coated with Bronze Gold PVD.

 

The whole is completed by a brown leather strap with a polished and sandblasted Bronze Gold buckle.
